Yes, we have a blog.

Why is so hard to be focused?

Let me tell you this is a real art. Having the capability of thinking really deep about something without distracting yourself with a new whatsapp notification, or simply just a mosquito searching for the best piece of your skin.

But why is that so hard?

Here are some interesting facts: Harvard Business Review published about overthinking, saying that “people spend almost 47% of their waking hours thinking about something other than what they’re doing, which impairs their creativity, performance, and well-being.â€Â

We usually think that technology will improve our lifestyle and make everything easier, but in fact, because of the tools now available, we’ve become obligatory multitasking individuals, available 24/7. The effects of this lifestyle are reflected on our exhausted and overwhelmed mood as well as on our mental and physical health.

Contrary to what many people think, multitasking is not so natural in human beings. In fact, it decreases efficiency and increases a higher propensity for error. But how can we manage our full amount of daily tasks without going crazy? Here are a few suggestions:

  1. Create priorities: Eating and sleeping should be your number one priority. Keep your devices from the dining room table;
  2. Improve your self-care: Switch off from your devices at least an hour a day;
  3. Surround yourself with trusted colleagues with whom you can share your work and tasks;
  4. Find activities that promote your physical and mental well-being while meeting different people;
  5. Educate your thoughts and feelings.

So… take the time you need to enjoy your life and get back in control!
